This week we lost a wonderful friend.

She was a
very great lady, though small in stature, so she told us.
>Who's a grown woman? I'm only 5'1"...thats not
grown!....<
She was the strong head of a matriarchal family -
mother to 9 (and like a mother to several others she wasn't related to).
She had 27 grandchildren and at least 3 great-grandchildren.
LF would
often joke that they needed to hire a hall if they all got
together!
She had gigantic courage and determination. Her sense of
humour was absolutely unique. I've lost count of the number of times she'd
come at you from left field and knock you sideways with a smart comment
that was outrageous and funny. When I opened a post from her I never knew
what was coming!
Once we were posting things in our groups on the
theme of bubbles.
Hahahaha she posted this pic of a plane in a bath and
called the post
Bubble bath - big time.
>Now This is A BIG Bubble Bath.
I hope they used Q-tips in the
Jet Engines,he,he. >Little Flower<
She led an amazing life, when
she was young she was a professional roller skater. Then she trained as a
nurse and became a Surgical Scrub nurse.
After she had her children she
became a policewoman and rose to be a Police Chief.

I
always remember this message she posted after a rather hostile man in the
Women of Today group called her a "dyke".
>I worked in a Male oriented job for several years.
I weighted
135 lb at that time, and 250lb men made belt buckle scratches on the hood
of my cruiser all the time, as they slid across to the other side, where
they were handcuffed, and taken to jail. Most times, I worked a one-person
car, so was on my own (oh my, I might break a fingernail!).
I pulled
dead (several days) bodies out of Lake Erie, got stabbed in the leg. Was
involved in a few shootings and engaged in fisticuffs many times with the
(so called) tougher sex.
They behave badly more often, and act their
way into jail more often, than any female.
I am NOT a Dyke, as you so
crudely put it, but a very definitely heterosexual female, mother of 9 and
happily married wife.<
She also taught Firearms,and Defensive
Tactics in Police Academy.
Not a lady to mess with haha but her
children found her fair and supportive and all loved her. Well you
couldn't help loving her, she was marvellous.
We all loved her in the
Trolls treasures groups and the Women Of Today group and her own Cancer
Support group.

Here
she is with her husband JR.
I'll never forget when she first came
into the groups, she seemed so shy and had terrible trouble with her
computer.
It took her what seemed like forever to learn how to cut and
paste. We finally worked out that she was getting so nervous that she
pressed the key so hard it pasted 20 times. hahahaha when we said she
should just tap lightly. She was absolutely delighted when she found she
could finally do it.
Then of course she bombarded us with wonderful
jokes which she'd C&P :-)
Next thing we knew she was giving people
in the Help Group advice like a real geek.
Ah happy memories.......
She was always beautiful :-)

We'll
all miss her terribly. She was unforgettable. Her memory will live on in
our hearts.
